What are some places Danish passport holders can visit in Canada?

If you are planning to visit Canada from Denmark, you can check our list of places given below to get a better idea of Canada:

Old Port, Montreal

While exploring Old Montreal, you'll probably end yourself at the thriving Old Port neighbourhood close to the Saint Lawrence River (Vieux-Port). There are many enjoyable activities available here, such as riding the enormous Ferris wheel, climbing the well-known clock tower, or screaming your way down a zipline that spans vast bodies of water from horrifying heights.

You may explore the neighbourhood and see the 10 distinctive public art pieces; alternatively, you can attend a play at the IMAX or brush up on your knowledge at the Montreal Science Center. If even those options sound tedious, have a coffee and unwind on one of the sunny decks.

These ports provide boat excursions throughout the summer. If you really want to soak up the sun, there is also a man-made beach with views of the city or the river at the base of the clocktower. Put on your skates and enjoy the winter on the huge ice rink.

Melbourne Museum and Royal Exhibition Building

The Melbourne Museum is close to the CBD and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland. This modern, purpose-built museum is home to a range of exhibitions illuminating culture and civilizations, as well as science and the environment.

The Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Center, the exhibition of Phar Lap, Australia's top racehorse, and the Children's Gallery, a collection of interactive games and activities for kids, are among the highlights. It will also be possible to access a vibrant forest and a planet home to life-sized dinosaurs.

The Melbourne Museum is located right adjacent to the elaborate Royal Exhibition Building. The building was built in 1880 to accommodate the Melbourne International Exhibition, and in 1901 it was used as the location of Australia's first Commonwealth Parliament. The building is still used for notable occasions and exhibitions.

Old Montreal

Old Montréal is where most tourists gather in Montréal. The area is home to a significant number of buildings from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and has the lovely ambience of a Parisian district. Many of these historic buildings are now used as hotels, restaurants, galleries, and gift shops. If you want to utilise the city as a base for a few days of travelling, this is the best place to stay.

The city's myriad historic sites, streets, and landmarks are all conveniently explored on foot. There are several activities to do in this city, like visiting the Notre-Dame Basilica, wandering down Rue Saint-Paul, discovering Bonsecours Market, and enjoying the open-air gathering spot of Place Jacques-Cartier. The large Ferris wheel (La Grand roue de Montréal) and the Tyrolienne MTL zipline for a little urban adventure are both located on the waterfront.

Restaurants and patios line the streets of Old Montreal at night, bringing the neighbourhood to life. Throughout the summer, you may eat alfresco on rooftop terraces or on the sidewalk.

Jardin Botanique (Botanical Gardens)

Montreal's brilliantly inventive floral garden is located high above the city at Parc Maisonneuve (Pie IX Metro), which was the venue of the 1976 Summer Olympic Games. A broad variety of climates are represented by the various plants, which are cultivated in 30 themed gardens and 10 show greenhouses. Aside from the stunning Japanese and Chinese gardens, there are other outdoor spaces dedicated to alpine, aquatic, medicinal, utilitarian, and even deadly plants.

The rose displays are breathtaking, and a garden featuring flora that First Nations peoples produce or utilise is very fascinating. A tropical rain forest, ferns, orchids, bonsai, bromeliads, and penjings may all be found in towering greenhouses (miniature Chinese trees). On the grounds, there is a sizable arboretum, an intriguing insectarium, and ponds with a wide range of bird species.

Mont-Royal

Being the green lung close to the city centre, Mont-Royal stands 233 metres above the metropolis. While strolling around this gorgeous park, one may observe memorials to Jacques Cartier and King George VI, spend time beside Lac-aux-Castors, and take in the cemetery on the western slope where the city's many ethnic communities have long since interred their dead in harmony.

A superb view of the whole 51-kilometer length of the Île de Montréal and St. Lawrence may be seen from the peak, or more precisely from a platform below the cross. The Adirondack Mountains in the United States of America may be seen on clear days.

Oratoire Saint-Joseph (St. Josephs Oratory)

The patron saint of Canada is honoured in the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, which is close to the Mount Royal Park western gate. Because of the enormous Renaissance-style domed church that was erected there in 1924, it is regarded as a holy place by pilgrims.

In 1904, Brother André of the Congrégation de Sainte-Croix constructed a little chapel nearby, where he worked medical wonders that led to his canonization in 1982. His burial is located in the original chapel's sanctuary area.

A separate chapel displays votive gifts. Behind the chapel, a cloister leads to Mont-Royal. In the northwest, the observatory offers a magnificent view of Montréal and Lac Saint-Louis.

Musée des Beaux-Arts (Fine Arts Museum)

The Musée des Beaux-Arts, Canada's first museum, houses a substantial collection of paintings, sculptures, and new media pieces. Its outstanding collections of global cultures and Mediterranean archaeology contain close to 10,000 artefacts. It also contains noteworthy holdings of North and South American, African, Asian, and Islamic art.

More than 1,400 paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints make up the collection, which also includes works by Pieter Bruegel the Younger, Canaletto, El Greco, Gainsborough, Goya, Mantegna, Poussin, Rembrandt, Tiepolo, and Veronese. It is notably strong in Dutch Golden Age artefacts. The collections span from the Realists and Impressionists to modern art, with works by Cézanne, Dali, Miró, Monet, Derain, Kandinsky, Matisse, Picasso, Rodin, and other notable painters. The museum is near to the vast McGill University campus.

Pointe-à-Callière

The Pointe-à-Callière, which is today distinguished by a spectacular contemporary structure holding a museum of archaeology and history, is located at one corner of Place Royale in Old Montreal. Place Royale, where the market and parade field existed until newer government buildings removed them, was the hub of life in Montréal's early and colonial days. However, beneath present-day Montréal, there are still traces of these earlier streets and foundations, which you may examine during a trip to the museum.

You may wander amid the old stone-paved streets, drainage ditches, and ground floors of buildings from the 17th century as you travel through the city's past underneath. As you move around the museum, the narrative is revealed in layers of history through relics, maps, and exhibitions. Special displays offer a comprehensive look at history and archaeology from throughout the world
